Sep 7, 2010 · Most of the Oris dive watches look very sporty and the Doxa look more vintage, which is more my personal speed. That said, I love the ti Oris watches and the case shape makes a 44mm watch feel smaller than it is (a good thing for me since the newer Oris dive watches in 47mm and 49mm are way too big for me).
Nov 8, 2022 · Doxa was sold in the 70's and again in the 1980's, went dormant in the 90's, then was acquired by the Jenny family in the early 2000's. The Jenny family was a competitor of Doxa's during the early days of the professional dive watch craze and have made some very collectable watches in their own right.

Combined with a relative thinness of 11.95mm (not bad for a dive watch), it makes the Doxa Army a watch that manages to have good wrist presence and comfort, even on smaller wrists.
Nov 26, 2022 · I‘m not certain quality control is crazy different between the two brands. Seiko makes multiple times more watches than Doxa, but Seiko does adhere to ISO standards (9001, etc.) which does provide some assurance of quality. Seiko also has a good warranty and global customer support.
